Born in Guatemala, Central America, the son of a coffee plantation manager, Pat O'Donnell spent his early years in this colourful region and later in the green of the English countryside. This helped to develop a close affinity with nature, which remains the subject influencing much of his work. After studying at Herefordshire Art College, gaining the National Diploma in Design in Fine Art, Pat qualified at Birmingham University as a teacher of Art. Since retirement, he has been able to focus on his own painting, working mainly in water colour and acrylic. View Pictures |
